Today it is a live online language school, based in Minas Gerais and Santa Catarina with students all over Brazil and abroad, and a study-abroad agency, both closely directed by the same person. ## How it began It all started with a wish to help people travel the world and come back changed. Over the years, GlobalMente groups have studied and lived the culture of countries like England, Canada, the United States and France. The live online language school grew out of that same idea: learning a language is more than mastering structure and vocabulary. It’s gaining a new way to communicate, connect and grow. That’s why the two sides of the school go together. She organizes every program and travels with the group: guidance before departure, support during the trip and constant follow-up at the destination. It was by traveling, and later by leading groups, that she learned what makes the difference on a study trip: the right host family, the outing that makes the day worthwhile, and attention to whoever is far from home for the first time. That experience boards the plane with every group.
